We are dealing with a client, American High (Movie Production Company), located in Syracuse/Liverpoole New York. We found three PR problems which are: deciding what content is popular for their target audience, their
ability to foster a community between set workers (directors, talent, etc), and their ability to increase viewership for
their movies.
Based on those three issues determine what external factors are affecting those current issues such as:
– Public perceptions including reputation or image
-Supporters (analyze media content and identify who expressed support
– Competitors (who expressed challenging views or opposing arguments)
– any social, political, or economic factors externally that may have limited the effectiveness of the public

Provide a brief explanation as to why you selected this picture and the relevance from your perspective.

SOURCE PROVIDED (BELOW):
– Ted Talk. (2018, May19). Why the Hospitals of the Future will be your Home – Niels van Namen. [Video file]. Retrieved from:

After watching the Youtube Video, address each of the following questions. Organize your response in a numerical order as follows:
What is home health care that you can access in your community today?
Where would you want your elderly grandmother to receive routine care for her chronic condition? Blood draws and doctor visits are a big commitment. Put on your population health hat and reflect on redirecting acute care from the hospital to the home. Describe the advantages for population health to access care from the home and what implications you envision on addressing health equities through this change.
Niels van Namen is a healthcare futurist. Bringing down the walls of traditions of medicine beginning with reducing the scope of hospitals and making your home the center of patient care. What role do you see technology having on care.
At the root of this futurist perspective is not only technology, but a change of logistics. Think about the impact Amazon has had on the traditions of retail and even grocery stores. Imagine care at the tip of your finger tips coordinated with an app on your phone, a virtual assistant such as Alexa, a connectivity such as Face Time. From your seat, what is your vision of the future of healthcare on-demand? Provide at least three futuristic coordinate care that you would like to see happen.

COMM201- Public Speaking and Rhetorical Persuasion
Persuasive Preparation Worksheet
Directions
Complete this worksheet to focus in on the controversial topic you chose for your persuasive presentation. Once you complete this worksheet, upload it to receive instructor feedback. You can then begin developing an outline for your presentation. Please review the rubric on the last page of the document.
Before beginning the publishing process, establishing the purpose and audience for your topic will help you make decisions about the best way to reach your audience. This will also allow you to find the best evidence to support your persuasive point.
Use the Persuasive Preparation Worksheet provided to complete this step of the presentation preparation.
Once you have completed the Persuasive Prepation Worksheet, submit the worksheet to the course to receive instructor feedback. You can then begin the publishing process.
Step 1: The Topic
What is the topic of your speech?
Why did you chose your topic, and what do you already know about it?
Step 2: Brainstorming Questions
Now that you have explored what you know about your topic, list questions about your topic. You want this list to be as long as you can make it. Don’t feel confined by simple questions about background information. You will find that type of information as you research. Instead, dig deeper into questions that encourage thought and connections. These questions will guide your research process.
Read through the questions you generated. What questions are interconnected or related? What patterns do you see? What questions can be combined into more detailed, focused questions?
Step 3: Purpose Statement
What is the specific persuasive purpose of your presentation?
What do you want from your audience—for them to change their opinion or for them to take action?
Step 4: Audience
Who is the target audience of this persuasive speech—the “change makers”? How may this audience require you to adapt your speech to persuade them?
Step 5: Supporting Materials
Locate two reliable and credible sources that will provide evidence for your persuasive speech. Read and annotate the sources carefully to ensure you have a strong understanding of their information.
For each source, include the following:
• Cite the source using APA format
• Summarize the source: What is its the main purpose? What conclusions does the author make? This should be in your own words with no direct quotations. The more precise and thorough your summary, the more helpful it will be when you begin to prepare your speech.
• Evaluate the source: Identify what makes the source reliable (currency, relevance, authority, purpose/point of view)? Are there any concerns or weaknesses in the article? How will this source be beneficial as you move into the publishing process?

She switched from what can i do to being part of the solution.

SOURCE PROVIDED (BELOW):
– Ted Talk. (2015, May19). Recipe for Access Putting Public in Public Health – Renaisa S. Anthony. [Video file].

After watching the Youtube Video, address each of the following questions. Organize your response in a numerical order as follows:
What did Dr. Anthony mean when she said all odds were against her? It seemed her seminal moment in childhood happened in Mississippi when many cultural influencers asked where she was going to college. Why was this an important question to ask this 13 year-old from the inner-city area of Detroit?
Dr. Anthony shared with us her journey and how the built environment influenced her mindset of monumental moments that moved her towards massive action. Besides having an MD, what is her other credential/degree she earned? What college did she get this degree from and how does this support her profession as deputy director?
What is Dr. Anthony’s recipe for health equity? Select your favorite component of the recipe. Share three things that you believe are the most important to put into action on this recipe component. Explain.
Dr. Anthony translated her passion into action to change preterm delivery outcomes on a wide scale. She switched from what can I do to being part of the solution. Describe her work in Washington DC with NIH and the preterm disparities she is working to address. What is NIH’s role in protecting the health of the public?

If, in your scenario, you don’t feel the organization conducted sufficient planning, describe what should have happened, citing credible research as you build your case.

DIRECTIONS AND ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS :
Part 2 of the Final Project
Do not repeat your Parts 1A & 1B work here. Move on with your work, but keep track of the new sources you use. You will need to submit a revised reference list for the last stage of the project. Begin thinking about Step 2 in the Four-Step Public Relations Process. Step 2 is “Planning and Programming.” You are not taking action here; that’s Step 3. What was involved in communication planning in your chosen scenario? If, in your scenario, you don’t feel the organization conducted sufficient planning, describe what should have happened, citing credible research as you build your case. This isn’t about your opinion or hunch; you write what you do because you have by this time read research that supports your position. You will likely find you have addressed this step thoroughly in about two pages.
