For each article summary, consider the following:

§ In what context was the study conducted? Who was sampled, and where?
§ What were the independent and dependent variables?
§ How were these variables manipulated or measured?

For each article critical analysis, consider the following:
§ Internal validity. What conditions of causality did your study meet? What conditions of
causality didn’t it meet? Why? Think about whether you have strong confidence in the
internal coherence of the study.
§ External validity. Does the study general to other samples? Does it generalize to the “real
world”? Does it offer any implications for practice? Think about generalizability and
ecological validity.
PART IV: INTEGRATION & REPORT
Part IV of the assignment will involve putting together your summaries and critical analyses into an
integrated, interwoven narrative. You may use headings to organize your report, but the expectation
is that your 15 paper(The studies cannot be reviews, meta-analyses, or qualitative studies. Multi-study papers are
acceptable, but know that you will have to summarize the article in total (and, offer critical analysis
of each study separately) summaries and critical analyses will be integrated.
Key to your integration: an analysis of reliability. High reliability means that similar measurements
provide similar results under similar conditions; it means that results are reproducible.
